According to SPCA of Texas Communications Director Stephanie Daniels,
“Thanks to the wonderful support of the North Texas community, the SPCA of Texas is celebrating 75 years of love this year. Just last year, we found homes for more than 6,000 pets, rescued 768 animals from abuse and served more than 34,000 pets at our three spay/neuter and wellness clinics.
“Our wish is that we have 75 more years of helping animals, and we can only do that through the generosity and support of the public. When we receive this amazing support from the North Texas community, we are able to help animals like Rizzo, a 4-year-old Pug mix who came from a hoarding situation in 2012. She, along with 25 other dogs, 14 rabbits, six cats and three pigs, were living a life of neglect before our Rescue and Investigations team brought them to our shelter. Though Rizzo had a few medical issues when she arrived, our veterinarians were able to give her the medical attention she needed, and she quickly found a forever family.
“With the continued support of the community, whether it be a financial donation, support through our social media, or bringing wish list items to the shelter, we wish to have 75 more years of love to give the animals of North Texas.
