With the chill easing into the neighborhood and the leaves starting to fall to the ground, the idea of soup simmering on the stove seems downright delicious. By the time January hits, you will have probably tried every can of soup of the grocery shelves and even tried your hand at brewing up your own. What a hassle!!!

Luckily, just in the nick of time while the temps are still low, one of Dallas’ fav fundraisers will come to the rescue, not only for you but for the Stewpot Alliance including Encore Park.

It’s Soup’s On!

As mentioned earlier, the luncheon is returning to the Omni on Thursday, January 30, thanks to Co-Chairs Gail Davis and Sarah Leverett. Honorary Co-Chairs will be Ellen and John McStay and the luncheon speaker will be Liz Murray, who wrote “breaking Night” and was the subject of the TV movie “Homeless to Harvard.”

This Soup’s On! is going to be poignant for the chefs headed up by The Grape’s Brian Luscher. One of the team was lost this past April — Randall Copeland. He was a big guy with a bigger smile and a true talent in the kitchen. His presence will be missed sorely, but his spirit will fill the ballroom.

Tickets start at $150, so start the soup line for lunch on January 30.
