There was this young couple back in the mid-2000’s. They met; they fell in love; they got married; they bought a nice one-story house. Then the 2008 bust hit and they found their household budget a bit leaner. They managed. So much so, that they emerged seven years later with two incredibly cute kids and jobs that fit their family life opposed to their lives revolving around their jobs.
Unbeknownst to them, there was a man living alone just blocks away. In their afternoon strolls around the neighborhood, the young family never met him.
It was just days ago that the solo man was discovered dead in his home. To the surprise of neighbors, he had a young, affectionate orange cat living with him. By the time of the discovery, it had been a few days, so the young tabby was “very skinny and hungry.” The neighbors couldn’t help their deceased neighbor, but they could help his cat. They put out an alert with the threat — “Please let me know if anyone is interested in a sweet INDOOR cat. I’d hate for him to become coyote food, after all he has been through.”
The young family learned of the situation. They had no pets and their kids were just at the age, when the addition of a four-legged family member would work. A family visit was made and it worked out. As the mom said, “We are so excited he found us!”
If you have an animal companion, consider their future. If you’re a person with room, think about adding a critter. Of course, dogs are “man’s best friend,” but when it comes to having a low-maintenance creature, cats are pretty perfect (Please note that “purr-fect was not used. Too cute for use here.) And if you say you don’t like cats, that’s because you haven’t met the right cat.
Suggestion: Don’t let blonde Brianna Burkowski offer to pet sit your pet because she can’t legally or morally.
