Love checks being handed over. Monday a very nice check landed at The Family Place in addition to the official debut of a project undertaken by the Dwell With Dignity folks. . . but more about that later.
Still, you should know the project was one of the biggest for DWD and the budget was a bit daunting. Even after sharpening their pencils, it still was gulping. Then DWD Lisa Robison and her team approached the International Interior Design Association about getting involved.
The IIDA crew said the project was perfect for them. So they decided to contribute funds raised at IIDA’s Lavish, a design challenge and silent auction.
The results? A check for $15,000 that provided 40% of the underwriting needed. Even Whitney admitted that the amount “superseded [their] expectations.”
In the days ahead the project will be described in detail, but thought you would enjoy seeing a surprise check presented.
